Hallo list,
I have a C function like this:
___UCS_2STRING tsk_home_dir(void);
which is exported like this:
(define home-directory (c-lambda () UCS-2-string "tsk_home_dir"))
Everytime tsk_home_dir is called it allocates a new string. Who
must free this memory? C or Scheme?
Cheers,

I'm trying to take a great number of tcp connections open (> 2000) with
gambit, but gsi crashes
with a SISSEGV error. I suppose it depends on select () limitiation.
Why not use libevent <http://www.monkey.org/%7Eprovos/libevent/> or
something similar?
francesco.
I have nice binding of minilzo to Gambit.
Minilzo is very high speed compressor/decompressor by Markus Franz Xaver
Johannes Oberhumer (http://www.oberhumer.com/opensource/lzo/).
Last night I wrote a simple binding to it.
Its speed so high that allows of compression/decompression of many
things in programs on the fly.
Sources attached to this letter.
Compilation of module: gsc lzo.scm
It is possible to built-in it in Gambit. Just put sources in Gambits
sources lib directory and make appropriate changes in makefile and
makefile.in (add lzo.scm, lzo.c and lzo.o to corresponding sections).
Who else is interested in being a mentor?
Who will be the project administrator/co-administrator?
I would be willing to volunteer to be the administrator/co-admin for the group. I am also willing to volunteer to be a mentor.
The administrator's role is to be the head contact person for the group to Google SOC. The co-administrator is for contingency.

Hi,
Can I use define-syntax without runtime option "-:s"? I tried the
reference implemantation of SRFI-64 but it would not work without
"-:s" because it uses define-syntax. But I don't want to lose Gambit-C
specific features.
Thanks,

Hi!
Is anyone here writing facebook apps on termite? or even scheme in
general? If so, can you point me at what scheme <-> facebook library you're
using? (If you converted over the php one, and are willing to donate the
code, even better!)
Thanks!

Hi,
it seems that SRFI-43 (vector library) is not (yet) supported. I'd really like
to use it. Are there any plans for adding it?
