I'm trying to use ___S32VECTORREF as ___F32VECTORREF was illustrated previously on this list. The rest of my code works fine, and if I use float homogenous arrays, that works. ___SCMOBJ shared_array; ... int ival = ___S32VECTORREF(shared_array, i); I've also tried int ival = ___S32VECTORREF(shared_array, ___FIX(i)); Both result in: Line Location scheme-bridge.c:66: error: '___hp' undeclared (first use in this function) Line Location scheme-bridge.c:66: error: '___s32_temp' undeclared (first use in this function) It's not clear to me from the macro definitions in gambit.h how to get around this. Any help appreciated. - Tom

fun with include path

The following code: (include (string-append "/home/x/opengl/macro/" "forever.scm")) gives me: *** ERROR IN "blah.scm"@24.10 -- Filename expected is there anyway to do any type of computation to an 'include' ? If not, how else do I load in files that have macros? (having macros implies I can't use load right?) Thanks!

What paths does "include" search through? (And how can I change it?) I want to add /home/foo/bar/lib to the 'include' path. Grepping gambit-c.txt for 'include' and 'path' does not bring up anything useful. Thanks!

dumb naming question

There's probably a really obvious reason for this, except I'm not catching it. By default, when I compile foo.scm numerous times, I get foo.o1 foo.o2 ... foo.o9 Instead of having foo.o overwritten. It seems like there's some really useful way to use this for debugging -- but I' not catching it, how is it intended to be used?

Hey guys, Have you seen http://rogeralsing.com/2008/12/07/genetic-programming-evolution-of-mona-lis… ? I have implemented this genetic algorithm for redrawing images with polygons in Gambit. There's still a lot more I want to do with it, but I'm a bit burned out on it, and I figured I'd open it up to anyone else who wants to play around with it. It's on github: http://github.com/jlongster/genetic-canvas/tree/master It doesn't solve it quite as well as the original project, but there's a lot of improvements that can be made, particularly refining the mutation rates. I've made a general optimization sweep through the code and it runs pretty fast, but I'm sure there's more to do there too. To get sources: git-clone http://iris-comp.ru/public/git/rrepl.git I use this package to debug termite threads on cluster of computers. Brief documentation with examples is inside the package. Short list of functionality: 1. REPL server 2. REPL multiplexer 3. Various functions to start repl on exception, to connect repl via tcp/ip and so on. Main principles of design: 1. Ability to construct huge debugging networks (thanks to multiplexer functionality) 2. Flexibility of design 3. Output Vector Ports

Hi All, I'm sure I'm doing something stupid here, but I just can't get output vector ports to work. I've tried these two examples but get the same result :- (*let* ((s (make-u8vector 3 0))) (with-output-to-u8vector s (*lambda* () (write-u8 65) (write-u8 45) (force-output))) s) => #u8(0 0 0) (*let* ((s (make-u8vector 3 0))) (*let* ((p (open-u8vector s))) (write-u8 65 p) (write-u8 45 p) (close-output-port p) ) s) => #u8(0 0 0) I can get input ports working fine i.e. I can read from a port from the vectors but the writes seem to completely fail to update the vector. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug in Gambit ? I'm using 4.4.2 on Windows. Thanks Andrew
