Dominique congratulations for having release the first non-core Snow package!
I think lalr-scm was a good candidate for this. Turning it into a Sno package solved many packaging problems.
So what's next... a Snow package for Silex? Then we would have a nice portable lex/yacc equivalent for Scheme.
That would be nice. But the first step would be to turn Silex into a macro to achieve a better integration with lalr-scm.
Perhaps we should start a "Snow package wish list" so those of us with idle cycles (and some of my students) can get to work on implementing or converting the most urgently needed packages.
Here is my wish list:
- web application server infrastructure, whatever that means - XML parser / writer (can SSAX-SXML be easily repackaged?) - JSON support (I will probably contribute that one real soon) - Database support (I have a prototype for the native PostgreSQL interface) - Logging
I will also eventually contribute the following packages:
- Asterisk Manager API interface (www.voip-info.org) - FastAGI interface (www.voip-info.org)
Let's hope there will be lots of Snow in the near future.
I really like snow!
Dominique
