The following patch obviates the need for a native Windows build to patch the built Gambit binary with the actual installation directory (GAMBCDIR in previous versions of the Makefile). It also includes a script to build Gambit on Visual Studio 2008 Professional, trivially forked from the existing script for VS2005 Express.
The patch is against the most recent v 4.4.0.
