I'm thinking of moving the Gambit repo to github.
What are the pros and cons of doing so?

I can only think of pros. Github is really useful both for developing and for checking out projects and reading code. Being there could help Gambit get more popular IMO. Actually, I've always thought that moving the dumping grounds to Github would be a great thing to do too. At the very least, it seems that the projects are more "alive".

I totally agree with Álvaro.
JazzScheme has been on GitHub for a couple years now and I only have good things to say about GitHub. No cons that I can think of.

I cannot agree more with Guillaume and Alvaro. I have used it for both personal and corporate projects.

I have moved the Gambit repo to github, and pointed the Changelog on the Gambit wiki to the github commit history. The location of the repo (for git commands) is:
git@github.com:feeley/Gambit.git
The URL is:
https://github.com/feeley/Gambit
There may be some links on the wiki that still point to the old repo. Please let me know if you find some.
After some testing, I will make a new release of Gambit which is configured to point to the new repo, and terminate access to the old repo. So if you find any problems, please let me know ASAP.

Sorry about that but, for simplicity, the github repo name is now all in lowercase, so:
The location of the repo (for git commands) is:
git@github.com:feeley/gambit.git
The URL is:
https://github.com/feeley/gambit
