CORRECTION:
I built and installed Gamit-4.2.28 on 64-bit OpenBSD 4.2, not FreeBSD. I have 4 computers running 3 different operating systems (soon to be 4) and I get confused about which computer I'm using at times.

Gambit-C v4.2.7 is now available.
it doesn't install:
8 10:14 cd gambc-v4_2_7
10 10:14 ./configure --enable-single-host 11 10:14 time make -j 2 16 10:18 sudo make install ... ../install-sh -c -m 644 gambit-not$version_num.h /usr/local/Gambit- C/v4.2.7/include/gambit-not$version_num.h install: gambit-not402007.h does not exist make[1]: *** [install-post] Error 1
Sorry about that! There was a minor error in the makefiles and my build process did not detect that "make install" failed.
The fix is now in the new release (v4.2.8).

Gambit 2.4.8 builds and installs on 64-bit FreeBSD 7.0.
One suggestion:
add to the make install script "ln -sf ..." for the lib and include files which are executed automatically if links for the lib and include files were installed for the version being replaced, _______________________________________________ Gambit-list mailing list Gambit-list@iro.umontreal.ca https://webmail.iro.umontreal.ca/mailman/listinfo/gambit-list
