Did you install Gambit using the Windows installer?
If you plan on doing serious development with Gambit, I strongly recommend that you build Gambit from its sources. Doing so should fix any problems like the one you encountered.

I have install MinGW with GCC 4.6.1 but it seems to be incompatible with the MinGW that has been used to build the 4.6.2 package for windows. I tried to compile the GUI example:

But I get the following error:
D:\Devel>gsc -exe windows-gui-example.scm cc1.exe: error: unrecognized command line option '-mno-cygwin' cc1.exe: error: unrecognized command line option '-mno-cygwin' gcc: error: windows-gui-example.o: No such file or directory gcc: error: windows-gui-example_.o: No such file or directory *** ERROR IN ##for-each -- No such file or directory (delete-file "D:\Devel\windows-gui-example.o")
I tried this on Windows 7. _______________________________________________ Gambit-list mailing list Gambit-list@iro.umontreal.ca https://webmail.iro.umontreal.ca/mailman/listinfo/gambit-list
