Dear Marc, Dear Montreal Scheme/Lisp Users, I finished at long last my essay "From Creationism to Evolutionism in Computer Programming" corresponding to the speech I gave last january to MSLUG "The Programmer's Story: From Über-God to Underdog" The essay: http://fare.tunes.org/computing/evolutionism.html The slides of the speech: http://fare.tunes.org/computing/evolutionism-slides.html I must have a MP3 of the delivery on my zoom, if anyone is interested in it rather than reading the above (send me email -- if there's demand, I'll update the announcement). http://fare.livejournal.com/140462.html Enjoy! Hello all. There will be a meeting of the MSLUG this *saturday* January 3 at 4:30PM, at the usual place (room 3195 of Pavillon André- Aisenstadt at the Université de Montréal). François-René Rideau, the instigator of the TUNES project (http://tunes.org/), who is visiting Montreal will give a talk whose title is "Creationist programming vs Evolutionary programming".
A apologize for the late announcement. I hope you will all make a special effort to come on such short notice, at an unusual time and during the Christmas vacation (for many of us). I'm sure it will be worth it!
Marc Feeley
