The 21st Conference on Microelectronics ICM 2009, technically cosponsored by IEEE Electron Devices Society will be held, in cooperation with Ecole Mohammadia dIngénieurs, in Marrakech, Morocco.
The ICM has been held in many countries across the Middle East and Asia over the past 20 years. ICM 2009 will include oral, poster sessions and tutorials given by experts in state-of-the-art topics.
The regular technical program will run for three days. In addition, tutorial sessions will be held on the first day of the conference. Papers are solicited in, but not limited to, the following topics:
Integrated Circuits and Systems: Analog and RF circuit design techniques, Digital signal and data processing, Wireless communication systems, Nonlinear circuits, System on Chip (SoCs), Design for testability, Integrated antenna and front-end co-design, Signal Processing in Communications, VLSI for Signal and Image Processing
Computer-Aided Design for Microelectronics: Simulation (process, device, circuit, logic, timing, functional), Layout (placement, routing, floor planning, symbolic, ERC, DRC), Silicon optimization, Parallel embedded systems, Testing: Formal verification
Micro/Nano-Electronics Technology: Device characterization and modeling, Device physics and novel structures, Process technology (CMOS, BJT, BiCMOS, GaAs), Reliability and failure analysis, Optoelectronics, MEMS Devices, Packaging and surface mount technology
Location: Pearl of the South, Jewel of the South, The Rose City just a few of the nicknames Marrakech has acquired over the years. The pearl and the jewel symbolize its importance as the center of Morocco ever since it was a trading and resting place on the crossroads of ancient caravan routes from Timbuktu. The rose attests to a city still painted entirely in salmon pink, in keeping with the red-clay earth below. Once called Morocco City by foreign travellers, Marrakech eventually lent its name to the country itself. Part Berber, part Arab, part African, Marrakech is the heartbeat of Morocco, where palaces and monuments of unrivalled refinement sit calmly alongside the snake charmers and Gnaouan drums pulsing constantly from Djemâa el Fna Square one of the most exuberant marketplace in the world.
Submission: Perspective authors are invited to submit full length (four pages) papers for presentation in any of the areas listed above using the guidelines in the authors' info. Only electronic submissions will be accepted via http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=7485.
Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings and included in IEEE XPLORE database.
