Yes there will be a parameter, but what I was talking about is a  
configure option, i.e. --enable-doc-browser=firefox, so that a default  
documentation browser can be selected when Gambit is built.

What do you mean?  A simple GET (with curl or Gambit) will get you the  
HTML of a page.
