This time on the Mac App Store. My simple list-management app, Delectus, just became available for purchase on the Mac App Store. Delectus is approximately 3/4 Scheme code, built using Gambit. Thanks to Marc and to the Gambit community for making it possible. If you want to check it out, just fire up the App Store and search for "delectus"; at present, my app is the sole search result. --me

That's great! Please make a note of this "real-world" application on http://dynamo.iro.umontreal.ca/~gambit/wiki/index.php/Real-world_software_an... It would be interesting to hear about your experience building Delectus using Gambit. Marc

There's plenty to say; where and how would you like to hear about it?

Here you go: probably more than anyone wants to know about it: http://www.mikelevins.com/blog/2.html
Very interesting reading. Thank you, Mikel, for posting that. I didn't realize before reading your blog how iOS ready gambit really is. Nice. On Sat, Apr 16, 2011 at 8:50 PM, mikel evins <mevins@me.com> wrote:

I didn't realize before reading your blog how iOS ready gambit really is. Nice. Let me head off a potential misunderstanding here. Delectus is currently available only on Mac OS X. There is not presently an iOS version. I've built test apps for iOS using Gambit, and if there is a demand for Delectus on iOS, there is no obstacle to building and offering it; I just need to replace the Mac OS X-centric UI code with suitable iOS code. But, as far as I can tell at present, the strategy I described in my blog will work just as well for building an iOS app as it did for building a Mac OS X app. --me
[I got a notice from my mail server that this message was stalled, presumably due to the Gambit servers' troubles. I hope this re-send doesn't inconvenience anyone. --me] On Apr 15, 2011, at 7:33 PM, Marc Feeley wrote:
