[gambit-list] Running make install for Gambit v4.5.3 in Solaris 10/SPARC

Make install command fails with the following error message in the last
lines:

install:  _kernel\#.scm does not exist

The following command caused the error:
for subdir in include lib gsi gsc bin misc doc tests examples prebuilt; do \

Did anybody experience similar issue.
This looks more like a scripting issue.
