I tried to reproduce your result and couldn't.  Could you post a bug  
report, with data files, into the bugzilla system (http:// 
www.iro.umontreal.ca/~gambit/bugzilla/)?  In general it is better to  
post bug reports there anyway to simply bug tracking.
