Your code is executed in the Web browser, not on some remote server.
Technically, the OCaml toplevel and the Js_of_ocaml compiler have been put together in a single OCaml program, which has then been compiled to Javascript. The source code is currently available in the darcs repository of the Js_of_ocaml compiler.
