We will continue our best of NIPS series tomorrow, with Pascal and Ian. They will be presenting the following papers:
Pascal: "A Stochastic Gradient Method with an Exponential Convergence Rate for Finite Training Sets Nicolas Le Roux, Mark Schmidt, Francis Bach.
Ian: "Practical Bayesian Optimization of Machine Learning Algorithms" Jasper Snoek, Hugo Larochelle, Ryan P. Adams + my experiences trying out Jasper's spearmint-lite software
We will take a break next week because of ICML, but will be back the week after for one final talk by Yann Dauphin (That's right Yann, we haven't forgotten you !),
