I have brought some sweets from Iran which I'll bring to this tea-talk that are specific to the southern part of Iran. It's called "Halva masghati lari" which is made in the southern part of Iran named Larestan. The sweet is originally a replicate of a similar thing made in Masghat (Capital of Oman). This sweet is a localized version of that with Iranian ingredients like rose-water, saffron, pistachio, etc.

Reminder for the tea talk.
It will probably be still in the main lab room, as I could not get a decently close by room (we do have P-312 de Roger-Gaudry if the lab really feels to small).

Hi all,
Here is the announcement for the tea talk tomorrow:
Speaker: Yann and Razvan
Title: More research ideas
Abstract:
In the same spirit as Ian previous tea talk, we will go over a few research ideas. They will range from optimization ideas (extension of standard second order methods), sampling from GSNs, recurrent neural networks tweaks and simple ideas of scaling things up.
I hope to see many of you there.
Razvan
