Great job!  Thanks a lot for doing this.

Now somebody could include Gambit-C to the shootout for more benchmarking fun:
http://shootout.alioth.debian.org/

Having a Debian package will help bring more users to Gambit.  Now, all that is still missing is a package/module system...  Hopefully we'll have it real soon now :)

Debian source and binary packages for 11 platforms are now available in
the Testing and Unstable distributions.  The m68k architecture is still
building - gambc should reach the head of the queue in another week.

These packages have been built with the --use-single-host configure
option.

The Alioth file download is discontinued.  Please use apt-get to access
these packages in the Debian repositories:

apt-get install gambc

The Gambit-C manual is available using the info system, doc-base, or
by accessing the pdf at /usr/share/doc/gambc-doc.  It is installed
separately:

apt-get install gambc-doc

Problems with the packaging should be reported to the Debian bug
tracker.

Problems with Gambit-C should be reported to the Gambit tracker, though
they will be forwarded if received in Debian.
