[gambit-list] Compiling 4.0b17 on OS X 10.3

Somehow the last modification dates on your .scm file in lib/ (in  
particular lib/_kernel.scm) are more recent than on the  
corresponding .c files (did you modify any of the .scm files?).

Try untaring the distribution again and try a make (after a ./ 
configure).  If that doesn't work (I'd like to understand why it  
doesn't), then simply

     touch lib/_*.c
     make

That should fix it.
